Early this year, Google has launched YouTube on mobile phones. As of the moment, the parent company of YouTube has already started displaying ads on some selected pages of the YouTube Mobile. This can be seen in Japan as well as United States.
Google is currently hoping that the company would have more insights on how the users react and interact with their mobile video advertising. Through this, the advertisers may now have a new medium so that they can promote their products and latest brands. They may also get the chance to reach a wider audience so that they may target the mobile phone users who were accessing the YouTube regularly.
This leap can be very beneficial for the users and at the same time, for the content producers. The content producers may use this feature as their way of generating more revenue. In return, it would allow the publishers to create more available content for free. As a result, it would bring down the costs for all the users who would like to access the videos using their mobile phones.
Christine Tsai, YouTube’s Product Marketing Manager, said that it is their first step – testing the mobile ads that would work on YouTube. Through this, users will have a new way to get connected with all the on-the-go contents. Moreover, it will also allow the users to learn at the same time.
The video advertisements on YouTube are now available in two different formats – the placement targeted ads and the InVideo ads.
